The Fall
Last April 3, 2011, I had a Bike Accident. I fell off the road near Sta. Fe. The was really a nasty fall. But immediately, I stand and rode my bike. When I was riding, I felt my left wrist really soar. And I couldn't twist it, my moves in my wrist were just limited. And when I stopped and looked and looked at my knees, they were bleeding. After seeing my knees bleeding, I went home and managed to do first aid on my knees.
Questions
Their are some things that I couldn't understand about students. Are they willing to learn or just pass the subject? Some of the things that I had observed were:
1. Copying of Assignments. (wala pa na erase ang ngalan sng source)
2. The Facebook (sagi tago tago ang facebook nga page pero kita ko man gyapon)
3. The Mail (kung may quiz gani, ngaa kung tapos na ang isa, sendan nya ya answer ang wala ka tapos through mail.)
4. The Tardiness (ang iban abi nila wala ko ga check attendance ha.)
5. Everything Clear (wala gd pamangkot)
6. Do as told (they just do as told. no researching, no further reading...)
7. The Facebook Again (hala sagi post sa facebook kung ka budlay ang subject kag libakon ang maistro.)
My First 1st Semester
My First Semester! Its my second semester in La Salle. I was tasked to handle Network Principles and Programming, and Network Management. I was handling back then 4th year or graduating students. 2 Sections coming from Computer Science and 1 Section with Information Technology.
The Network Principles and Programming deals in using different kinds of Network Protocols such as TCP and UDP to pass information from one client to another.
During the 1st week in my Computer Science class, I discussed about the different concepts of Networking. As I'm discussing, I'm also checking out the students if they are listening. But during those discussions, I think they were bored, maybe because of the topic in which they could not really apply, but they didn't know that the concepts would really greatly help them in their programming in the subject.
After I proceed with the programming, I was expecting a lot from them to know the basics of Java Programming. And I realized that they had already forgotten how to program using Java. But as time goes by, they managed to surpass their difficulty in programming (I think?).
The subject is not really that difficult. It just takes some understanding and programming to master the subject.
And about my Network Management class, it was all about concepts and little on the practical side. They had some difficulties on the concepts because it really takes some understanding, and also some memory to remember the different concepts in Networking.
The Come Back
Its almost been a year that I haven't blogged. I think now is the right time to start blogging again, to share some information about my hobbies, and about my everyday life.
